Want to Learn to Use Census Data in Your GIS? |
Wes Flack, Geographer for the Atlanta Regional Office of the US Census Bureau, will demonstrate current and future Census data products most relevant to GIS-users, as well as the future of Census geographic data-sharing partnerships. He will highlight key products from the 2010 Census data and the American Community Survey and will reveal some key statistical datasets that have been released, as well as the planned schedule for future data releases.
Included in the presentation will be a demonstration of how to download Census data and use it in thematic maps at all levels of available data products, as well as highlights of future geographic products and a discussion of how the Census Bureau may be able to provide better services to local government partners while abiding by the confidentiality restrictions required by law. |
